SIG Holds Expert Meeting on Reform and Development during "Fourteenth Five-Year Period"

On the morning of January 26, Shanghai International Group (SIG) held an expert meeting on reform and development during the "fourteenth five-year" period. Five experts from relevant municipal departments and research institutions were invited. Wu Jun, Member of the CPC SIG Committee, Secretary for the Discipline Inspection Commission and Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, hosted the meeting. Present were Guan Wei, Member of the CPC SIG Committee, Vice President and Chief Finance Officer of SIG; Zhong Maojun, Board Director and Chief Operation Officer of SIG; and relevant staff of the Department of Strategic Development.

The experts listened to an introduction to the formulation and main content of SIG's "fourteenth five-year" plan. They thought the plan implements the spirit of the 5th Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the 10th Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, serves major municipal strategies and the overall interests of the state-owned assets and enterprise reform, and reflects the requirements of implementing the new development concept, serving the new development pattern and advancing high-quality development. With a clear overall idea, accurate situation judgment and targeted goals, the plan indicates the direction for the next-step development of SIG.

The "fourteenth five-year" period is a critical period when SIG will implement the arrangements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, as well as the requirements of the CPC Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, better serve major municipal strategies, enter a new reform and innovation stage and open up a new prospect for high-quality development. SIG has attached great importance to the formulation of the "fourteenth five-year" plan, and established a work leading group on the formulation of the "fourteenth five-year" plan initiated by SIG's key leaders and constituted by members of SIG's leading body. The work leading group responsible for fully leading plan formulation made several rounds of revision to the plan text after deliberating on it and soliciting opinions from executives and employees in various ways. The experts present offered valuable opinions and suggestions to provide strong support for further revising and improving the plan.
